CrewSource legal
Platform Terms and Conditions
These terms govern use of the CrewSource marketplace by aircraft operators and flight crew. Each trip, booking, or direct-hire arrangement may also require separate written acceptance.
Effective date: September 8, 2026
1. About CrewSource
CrewSource is a marketplace and recruiting platform that helps aircraft operators and flight crew discover one another, communicate about opportunities, confirm trip details, and manage related booking workflows.
CrewSource is not the employer of any flight crew member and is not the aircraft operator. Unless the parties sign a separate written agreement, the operator is solely responsible for hiring, employing, supervising, scheduling, paying, insuring, and terminating any crew member it engages.
2. Eligibility and account information
You must provide accurate, current information and keep your account secure. Operators may use CrewSource only for lawful aviation-related activity. Flight crew members must maintain the licenses, ratings, medical certificates, training, qualifications, and other documents required for the services they offer.
CrewSource may suspend or terminate an account if information is false or misleading, documents appear expired or fraudulent, these Terms are violated, or CrewSource reasonably believes there is a safety, fraud, payment, or legal risk.
3. Operator hiring responsibility
An operator that hires or engages a flight crew member is responsible for the employment or contractor relationship, including classification, payroll, taxes, benefits, wage and hour compliance, workers’ compensation, insurance, scheduling, supervision, safety, and termination.
CrewSource does not direct the manner or means of flight operations, does not guarantee a crew member’s suitability, and does not replace the operator’s duty to independently verify qualifications, references, documents, and safety information.
4. Platform and placement fees
CrewSource charges the applicable booking, placement, referral, subscription, or other fee shown in the applicable pricing page, booking flow, or written agreement. The applicable fee is payable by the party identified in that flow or agreement.
A fee may apply to a trip booking, direct hire, repeat engagement, extension, renewal, or other arrangement that results from a CrewSource introduction. Users may not change the description, timing, payment method, contracting party, or structure of a transaction to avoid a fee.
5. CrewSource introductions
A CrewSource introduction occurs when CrewSource displays a profile or opportunity, enables communication, shares relevant information, facilitates a proposal or interview, or otherwise makes it reasonably possible for an operator and flight crew member to identify or contact one another through the platform.
A covered transaction is any paid or unpaid trip, flight assignment, direct-hire relationship, contract, referral, renewal, extension, repeat booking, or other business arrangement between an operator and flight crew member that results from, relates to, or is substantially connected with a CrewSource introduction.
6. No circumvention
For 12 months after the later of the last CrewSource introduction, proposal, message, booking, or active opportunity between the parties, neither party may intentionally arrange or complete a covered transaction outside CrewSource for the purpose of avoiding an applicable CrewSource fee.
Circumvention includes asking or encouraging another party to move a covered transaction off-platform, using an affiliate or intermediary to avoid a fee, concealing a covered transaction, or completing through another channel a transaction first proposed, discovered, negotiated, or facilitated through CrewSource.
The parties may communicate outside CrewSource for ordinary scheduling, safety, logistics, or operational purposes, provided that covered transactions are disclosed and applicable fees are paid. This section does not prohibit a relationship that was established independently before the relevant CrewSource introduction and can reasonably be documented.
7. Direct hire and conversion
If an operator hires, contracts with, or otherwise engages an introduced flight crew member directly, through an affiliate, or through another intermediary during the protected period, the operator must pay the applicable placement or conversion fee shown in the applicable pricing page or written agreement.
The fee is payable by the operator and does not restrict the crew member’s ability to accept employment or work for another party.
8. Reporting and records
Users must promptly report a covered transaction, direct hire, payment, cancellation, or material change relating to a CrewSource introduction when CrewSource requests that information. Users must retain reasonable records needed to verify applicable fees for at least 12 months after the relevant transaction.
9. Payments, cancellations, and disputes
Users must follow the payment, cancellation, refund, and dispute procedures shown in the applicable booking flow or written agreement. A user may not reverse, dispute, or withhold an authorized payment in bad faith to avoid a CrewSource fee.
CrewSource may place a temporary hold on amounts reasonably connected to a suspected fraud, payment dispute, cancellation dispute, or fee investigation, subject to applicable law.
10. Confidentiality and data use
Users may use information obtained through CrewSource only for legitimate aviation, booking, safety, payment, and account-management purposes. Users may not scrape the platform, harvest contact information, sell user data, or use CrewSource information to create a competing database or service.
CrewSource may process account, booking, payment, communications, qualification, and document information as described in its privacy notices and applicable law.
11. Safety and compliance
Each operator and crew member is responsible for complying with applicable aviation laws, regulations, operating rules, licensing requirements, employment laws, tax obligations, and insurance requirements. Users must promptly report safety concerns, incidents, suspected document fraud, or material qualification changes through the platform or the appropriate authority.
12. Platform availability and disclaimers
CrewSource does not guarantee that a booking, hire, or engagement will occur, that a user is suitable for a particular assignment, or that user-provided information is complete or accurate. The platform is provided on an available basis, subject to maintenance, changes, interruptions, and events outside CrewSource’s reasonable control.
13. Indemnification and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, each user agrees to defend and indemnify CrewSource and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from the user’s breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, inaccurate information, failure to maintain required qualifications, employment or tax obligations, or performance of a booking or engagement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrewSource will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business opportunities, or data arising from use of the platform.
14. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with jurisdiction over the parties, unless applicable law requires a different forum or the parties agree in writing to arbitration or another dispute-resolution process. Nothing in these Terms limits a user’s non-waivable rights under applicable law.
15. Changes and contact
CrewSource may update these Terms by posting an updated version and providing any notice required by law. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Sections concerning fees, covered transactions, no circumvention, confidentiality, indemnification, disputes, and any rights that should survive will remain effective after termination.
Questions about these Terms may be sent through CrewSource support or the contact information provided in the applicable account or booking flow.
